Mobile denture scanning
Never lose a denture again.
TDS scans your dentures and safely stores a digital copy for three years. If they're ever lost or broken, we 3D print an identical replacement and post it to you - no new appointments, no fresh impressions.
From £99
The basics
A digital copy of your denture, kept on file.
Denture scanning simply means this: a clinician scans your denture - not your mouth. It takes minutes, nothing goes near your mouth, and we keep a secure digital copy ready to remake if the denture is ever lost or damaged.
Peace of mind
A secure digital copy of your denture is stored for three years, so a spare is always ready.
Fast, identical replacement
If your denture is lost or broken, we 3D print an exact match and post it to you within five business days.
A fraction of the cost
Replacements are £395 per arch, versus £1,000+ for a brand-new denture made from scratch.

Backed by At Home Dental
Seven years of care, delivered to your door.
TDS is part of At Home Dental, a domiciliary dental provider for seven years, serving thousands of care homes across the south. The idea for TDS came from a care home show, where the same problem kept coming up: lost and broken dentures, and no quick way to replace them. So we built a service to solve exactly that.

Good to know
Frequently asked questions.
- What is the Denture Digital Scan Service?
- Our Denture Digital Scan Service digitally scans your existing dentures to create a precise 3D record. That scan is securely stored for up to five years, so we can reproduce a replacement denture quickly if yours is ever lost, broken or damaged.
- Why would I need my dentures scanned?
- Dentures can be misplaced, broken or damaged unexpectedly. Having a digital scan on file means no repeat impressions, no lengthy appointments, faster replacement and less disruption to eating, speaking and daily life. It provides peace of mind, especially for patients who rely on their dentures every day.
- How long is my scan stored for?
- Your digital denture scan is securely stored for five years from the date it is taken. You may be contacted before the end of this period to discuss renewal if you wish to continue the service.
- Is the scan data safe and confidential?
- Yes. All digital scans are stored securely, handled in line with UK data protection regulations, and accessed only by authorised dental professionals. Your data will never be shared without your consent.
- How is the scan taken?
- A trained dental professional uses a handheld digital scanner to scan your dentures. The process is non-invasive, comfortable and quick — usually only a few minutes — with no messy impressions required.
- Does the scan involve scanning my mouth?
- No. The scan is taken of your existing dentures, not your mouth. This makes the process simple and suitable for all patients, including those who may find traditional dental procedures difficult.
- Is this service suitable for everyone?
- This service is suitable for most denture wearers, particularly patients who rely on dentures daily, patients with mobility or access challenges, and those who want reassurance against loss or damage. Our dental team will confirm suitability at your appointment.
- What happens if I lose or break my dentures?
- If your dentures are lost or broken, you contact us, we retrieve your digital scan, a replica denture is produced using the stored data, and your replacement dentures are delivered within approximately five working days. This avoids the need for new impressions or multiple appointments.
- How accurate is the replacement denture?
- The replacement is produced using your original digital scan, allowing for a highly accurate replica of your existing dentures in terms of shape, fit and appearance. Please note that normal changes to the mouth over time may affect fit, and adjustments may occasionally be required.
- Can I still have my dentures repaired elsewhere?
- Yes. This service does not restrict you from using other dental services. It simply provides you with a fast and reliable backup option if replacement dentures are needed urgently.
- Does the service include free replacement dentures?
- No. The service covers the digital scan and secure storage of your denture data for five years. If a replacement denture is required, this is charged separately, and you will always be informed of costs in advance.
- How much does the Denture Digital Scan Service cost?
- The cost includes the digital scan appointment and secure storage of your scan for five years. Pricing details can be found on our website or discussed with our team at your appointment.
- How do I book the service?
- You can book by calling our team, getting in touch using our online enquiry system, or asking your clinician during your next visit.
